Nothing makes me feel more like a kid again than biting into a delicious Hostess FunnyBone. I know, I know, it’s processed garbage you’re putting in your system, blah blah, I don’t indulge in Hostess anything very often. Which led me to want to recreate that taste in an interesting way. With a combination of Martha Stewart’s Devil’s Food Cupcake, an Annies-eats.com peanut butter filling recipe and a homemade Cream Cheese frosting, a marvelous creation was born. I made enough to make the (pictured below) 2tier Cake and about a half dozen cupcakes. Both of which came out awesome! My next attempt may find a substitution with the Cream Cheese frosting for a Ganache topping, but that’s why I love baking, your creations are as simple or as complicated as you like. And I’m sorry, when it comes to sweets, there’s never a “bad” combo, just different!
